Valves are used as shut-off devices on pipelines to shut off the working environment, it is prohibited to use them as a regulating or throttling valve.

 The closing of the latch occurs when the control body is rotated clockwise, as a result of which the spindle makes a translational movement perpendicular to the direction of the flow of the working medium. When closing, the wedge is lowered. The wedge is tightly pressed against the surfaces of the housing seals, while the complete closure of the passage is achieved. The wedge moves along the guides in the housing.

The valve is controlled manually using a manual control device (wheel). Movable connections should move easily and smoothly, without jamming. The direction of rotation for opening and closing the shutter with manual control is indicated on the handwheel ("OFF"-closed, clockwise, "ON"-open, counterclockwise)
