The main function of the butterfly valve is to control the flow of liquid in the pipe: to do this, you need to turn the handle, fixing the disk at a given angle. The butterfly valve is a short cylindrical body 1 through which the working medium flows. Inside the body 1 there is a movable part - a locking disc 4, which rotates with the help of a handle 6 around its axis on the stem 3 and is fixed in a predetermined position by a locking disc 5, pressing against the sealing surface of the body through the seat 2, blocking the passage of the working medium. The flow of liquid depends on the angle of rotation of the locking disc 4. When the disc is rotated perpendicular to the central axis of the shutter, the flow is completely blocked.
