The fireman's ax is used as an individual firefighter's tool, intended for dismantling structural elements of buildings and structures, opening roofs, doors, windows during firefighting and fire-rescue operations.

Construction

The fireman's ax consists of a metal "axe" with a hole (eye) into which a metal ax (handle) with a convenient rubber dielectric coating is inserted. The "axe" must be securely attached to the ax. One side of the ax is a blade, and the other has the appearance of a pickaxe (wedge).

The blade of the ax contains special grooves designed to facilitate the extraction of the ax in case it gets stuck in the material being chopped (wood). In the lower part of the canvas, there is a special protrusion that can be used to work with fire fittings, for example, to disconnect or tighten the heads. The shape of the protrusion and its location allow working with fire fittings of all standard sizes: from 50 to 15 mm.
