Foam generators GPS 600 of medium multiplicity are designed to obtain air-mechanical foam of medium multiplicity from an aqueous solution of the foaming agent.
They are used when extinguishing fires of flammable liquids, technological equipment and fire-hazardous objects. Foam generators are installed on fire trucks (DPS) and stationary (GPSS). Nozzles of the vortex type are used as a sprayer. For GPS, the multiplicity of foam at the output is 100±30 volumes of the initial solution of the foaming agent.
The device of the medium multiplicity foam generator is simple. The generator body plays the role of a collector. On one side, a sprayer with a twisted Bohdanov nut is attached to the body, on the other - a net stretched over the cassette. Behind the cassette, the body continues the nozzle.
Foam formation in DPS occurs by air-mechanical means. The aqueous solution of the foaming agent is sprayed under pressure into the collector, where the solution is mixed with air. When passing through the obtained mixture of the grid, air bubbles are blown out of which the foam is formed. The nozzle forms a compact flow of foam, which allows you to increase the range of its supply.

The generator consists of a housing with a guide device, a sprayer, a package of nets and a pressure connecting head.
The mesh has cells of 0.8-1 mm, which are made of wire with a thickness of 0.3-0.4 mm
To obtain foam, a foaming agent solution is used.

The aqueous solution of the foaming agent is ejected through the atomizer under pressure onto the bag of nets, creating a vacuum in the housing.
Air through the rear open part of the case is directed into the low pressure zone.
In the case, the aqueous solution of the foaming agent is intensively mixed with air, forming air-mechanical foam bubbles of approximately the same size.
